If you want to learn how to dunk it is very important that you are doing the right workout program. I’ve tried everything from strength shoes to stair runs, and even college level programs and they all proved to help my vertical jump very little. The Jump Manual solution has worked for me and tons of other people who have been doing the program.
Knowledge is Key
Gaining the correct knowledge is the very first step in learning how to dunk. I was never a great umper because of my height so if I can do it, anyone can. The key is following the right workouts and principles. Unfortunately, many programs are giving people wrong information and keeping them from reaching their goals. It’s amazing how easy it really was once I found the right program.
The Upward Explosion
In order to jump high the best formula to follow is that power + quickness = explosion. When a muscle contracts, power and quickness results in an explosion. The first thing to work on is maximizing muscle strength. The most common mistake I see when people are trying to increase their jump height is training with too many reps. This only helps endurance. For example, if you’re jumping 15 inches for an extended period of time, you are only going to accomplish the ability to jump many times in a row at only 15 inches. The greatest results are found from programs designed around high intensity reps.
